GEKO G01831 12V Warning Beacon
A mobile warning beacon powered from the cigarette lighter socket, designed for mounting on metal surfaces. A solution that allows a vehicle or work area to be marked out quickly without the need for permanent installation.
Key features
Powered from the cigarette lighter socket
Connects directly to the vehicle's 12V system through a standard cigarette lighter socket. No modifications to the electrical system or additional wiring are required. The cable is fitted with a plug that suits most cars, vans and lorries.
Magnetic mounting
The base is fitted with neodymium magnets that hold the beacon securely on metal surfaces such as the vehicle roof or bonnet. It can be fitted and removed quickly without tools. The magnets work effectively on steel panels up to 2 mm thick.
Compact dimensions
A height of 15 cm with a base diameter of 12 cm provides good visibility while keeping the unit portable. The design does not significantly increase the vehicle's overall height, which matters when driving through low underpasses or gateways. Easy to store in the glovebox or boot.
Warning function
A flashing light with warning characteristics increases the vehicle's visibility during service work, towing or other situations that require marking. The flash rate is matched to road signalling regulations.

Use and maintenance
Fitting and removal
Before placing the beacon on the vehicle roof, make sure the surface is clean and dry – dirt weakens the pull of the magnets. After use, clean the base of dust and small metal particles that may stick to it. Route the cable so that it cannot become trapped in the doors or be cut.
Compatibility with the vehicle electrical system
The beacon is designed for vehicles with a 12V system – typically cars and vans. Do not connect it to a 24V system, as found in some lorries and buses, as this will damage the beacon. Before first use, check that the plug fits the cigarette lighter socket in the vehicle.
Operating conditions
The beacon is intended for outdoor use, but prolonged exposure to rain may affect the durability of the electrical connections. The beacon should be removed from the vehicle in heavy rain or an automatic car wash. Do not leave the beacon on the vehicle roof when driving at high speed – centrifugal force and air resistance may cause it to slide off.
