A complete set of specialist bits made from chrome vanadium steel, designed for work with TORX, SPLINE and HEX heads. It contains 41 pieces in two lengths, plus 1/2" and 3/8" socket adaptors.
A material resistant to wear and deformation. The chromium-vanadium alloy delivers surface hardness while keeping the core flexible, which prevents the bits from cracking under load.
The bits are supplied in 30 mm (for work in confined spaces) and 75 mm (for access to deep-set screws) versions. This allows work in a range of assembly configurations.
The 1/2" and 3/8" adaptors allow the bits to be fitted to standard ratchets and a torque wrench. The 10 mm socket keeps the bit seated securely during use.
TORX (star-shaped, 6 points) – spreads force over a larger area and reduces the risk of damaging the head. SPLINE (12 grooves) – used in the automotive industry. HEX (hexagonal) – the universal standard for hex socket screws.

The six-pointed star gives better distribution of torque and reduces the risk of the tool slipping. Used in automotive, electronics and industry. Correct size matching is essential – using the wrong bit will damage the head.
The 12 grooves allow higher torques to be transmitted than TORX. Common in the automotive industry, particularly in engines and gearboxes. The M designation refers to the diameter of the circle inscribed within the grooves.
A hexagonal socket – the most popular standard for furniture, machine and structural screws. The H size refers to the width of the key measured across the flats of the hexagon. Simple to use, but there is a risk of rounding the edges at high torque.
Before starting work, make sure the bit size matches the screw head exactly – any play can damage both the tool and the fastener. When using the socket adaptors, the bit should be seated to the full depth of the 10 mm socket.
TORX and SPLINE bits are sensitive to exceeding the maximum torque – excessive force can snap the shank. For seized screws, the use of penetrating fluid and a gradual increase in force is recommended.
After use, the bits should be cleaned of dirt and dried. Storing them in the plastic case protects against moisture and mechanical damage. CrV steel does not require additional lubrication, but in a high-humidity environment it is worth protecting the tools with a thin film of oil.
