An elongated workshop socket made from chrome vanadium steel, designed for use with 1/2" torque wrenches and ratchets. The deep socket design provides access to bolts and nuts seated deep in mounting recesses.
CRV material offers greater resistance to wear and deformation than ordinary tool steel. The addition of vanadium improves hardenability and resistance to abrasion, which translates into a longer tool life under intensive workshop use.
The hardening and tempering process provides optimum hardness in the working part of the socket while maintaining suitable flexibility in the drive end. This treatment minimises the risk of the tool cracking under load and extends its service life.
The increased length of the socket body allows work on fasteners located in recesses, mounting holes and hard-to-reach places where standard sockets do not have sufficient reach.
The matt chrome coating protects the steel against corrosion and makes it easier to keep the tool clean. The matt finish reduces glare when working at well-lit workshop benches.

The 1/2" drive fits all tools with a 12.7 mm drive square: ratchets, torque wrenches, extension bars and universal joints. Before use, check that the torque range of the driving tool matches the requirements for M12 bolts.
Before starting work, check that the socket size matches the size of the nut or bolt head. The 6-point profile distributes force evenly across all edges of the fastener, minimising the risk of damage.
The socket should be fitted fully onto the fastener, avoiding use with only partial engagement, which can damage both the tool and the bolt. After each use, the socket should be cleaned of dirt and grease residue.
When using a torque wrench, the tightening torque specified in the technical documentation of the equipment being worked on must be applied. Do not use pipe extensions to increase leverage, as this may exceed the strength of the socket material.
