Deep six-point socket for 1/4" ratchets and drive tools, made from chrome vanadium steel. The extended design allows work on deeply recessed bolts and nuts in areas with limited access.
The socket is longer than standard sizes, which gives access to bolts seated deep inside mounting holes, technical channels or valve ports. A solution that is particularly useful for mechanical work on engines and gearboxes.
The chromium and vanadium alloy delivers increased surface hardness while maintaining a flexible core. Heat treatment stabilises the structure of the material, which translates into resistance to twisting and a reduced risk of cracking under load.
A six-point working opening spreads the force over a larger contact area with the bolt than a 12-point profile. This reduces the risk of rounding the corners of the bolt head, particularly on heavily tightened or corroded fasteners.
The chrome layer increases resistance to corrosion and makes it easier to clean off oil contamination. The matt surface reduces glare when working at well-lit workstations.

The socket works with all tools fitted with a 1/4" square drive: hand ratchets, torque wrenches, impact drivers, as well as extension bars and universal joints. Before purchase, make sure that the 14 mm size matches the bolts on the equipment being serviced.
Before starting work, check that the socket is correctly seated on the tool drive – any play can damage the square drive opening. When tightening, apply force along the axis of the socket, avoiding angular load, which can deform the walls.
After finishing work, clean the socket of metal dust, oil and other contamination. Storing it in a dry place prevents the pitting corrosion that can weaken the structure of the material. Periodic inspection of the 6-point profile allows signs of wear to be detected before the socket loses its working properties.
