A tool for reconditioning and profiling ceramic grinding wheels on bench grinders. Its crown-type abrasive wheels remove contaminants and unevenness from the working face of the wheel, restoring its abrasive properties.
Six 27 mm diameter wheels made of hard abrasive material remove glazed areas and contaminants from the wheel. The crown-type design ensures effective dressing of the wheel profile without excessive wear on the tool.
The cast iron construction of the body and handle eliminates vibration during use and provides stability when pressing the tool against a rotating wheel. The material is resistant to mechanical damage under intensive use.
A parameter defining the area of contact between the wheels and the wheel surface during a single pass. With standard wheels 20-40 mm wide, it allows the entire surface to be dressed in 3-6 passes.
The hardness of the wheels is matched to work with ceramic wheels (aluminium oxide, silicon carbide). Not suitable for diamond or CBN wheels, which require specialist diamond dressers.

Press the tool against the rotating grinding wheel, moving it gradually along its width. Work with the machine switched off — turn the wheel by hand or at minimum speed. After dressing the wheel, clean the work area of abrasive dust.
A correctly dressed wheel has a uniform, matt surface with no shiny patches (glazed areas). Flatness can be checked by placing a straight edge or engineer's square against it — the gap should not exceed 0.1 mm across the wheel width.
Dress the wheel whenever you notice a deterioration in grinding quality, excessive sparking, vibration or uneven material removal. Under intensive use this may be every few hours; in a hobby workshop, every few months.
