GEKO G70305 Protective Tarpaulin 2x3m Green
A general-purpose tarpaulin with a three-layer construction, comprising a polypropylene core and a polyethylene coating. It provides basic protection against moisture and dirt during construction and garden work, and when transporting materials.
Technical Features
Three-layer construction
A woven polypropylene core coated on both sides with a layer of polyethylene. This construction combines the mechanical strength of the PP weave with the water resistance of PE, which prevents moisture from penetrating while maintaining tear resistance.
80 g/m² weight
A parameter defining the weight of the material per unit of area. A value of 80 g/m² classes the tarpaulin as an entry-level model, suitable for short-term applications and protection against rainfall under light mechanical loads.
Reinforced rope hems
The edges of the tarpaulin are protected by an additional layer of material with a rope threaded through it. This construction distributes the stresses generated during fixing and prevents the eyelets from pulling out and the material from splitting at critical points.
Aluminium eyelets every 1 m
Metal eyelets spaced at regular intervals around the perimeter. Aluminium does not rust, which ensures the durability of the fixing points. A 1 m spacing allows the tarpaulin to be tensioned securely using ropes or elastic cords.

Use and Maintenance
Fixing method
The tarpaulin is fixed by threading rope, cord or elastic cords through the aluminium eyelets. When fixing it, take care to distribute the tension evenly – excessive tension at a single point can damage the material. The 1 m eyelet spacing allows the fixing method to be adapted flexibly to the conditions.
Cleaning and storage
The polyethylene surface allows dirt to be removed easily with water and a mild detergent. After use, dry the tarpaulin before folding it away – this prevents mould from developing despite the material's mould-resistant properties. Store in a dry place, away from sharp objects.
Usage limitations
The 80 g/m² weight means the tarpaulin is intended for light and medium-duty applications. It is not suitable for prolonged exposure to intense UV radiation, which degrades polyethylene. For large areas and in strong winds, additional fixing points between the eyelets are recommended.
