A plumbing spanner with a hinged design that allows work in confined spaces under basins and sinks. The set contains five sockets (8-12 mm) plus a 13 mm shaft, allowing the installation of most standard taps and plumbing fittings.

The joint allows the socket to be set at an angle to the handle, enabling work in areas with limited access – under a basin, behind a cabinet or in the tight space beneath a worktop. The mechanism provides stability when tightening.
Set of five sockets

How to check compatibility
Before starting work, measure the diameter of the back nuts securing the fitting. Standard taps use 8-13 mm back nuts. If your tap has back nuts within this range, the spanner will be compatible. With older installations, it is also worth checking the condition of the threads – damaged threads may require the fasteners to be replaced.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the hinged mechanism works – the joint should lock securely at the chosen angle. When working, avoid overloading the spanner, particularly when undoing tight connections – this may damage the joint mechanism.
After working in a damp environment, it is advisable to dry the spanner and sockets to prevent corrosion. Tool steel is resistant to mechanical damage, but prolonged contact with water can cause rusting. Storing in a dry place extends the life of the tool.
The hinged mechanism does not require lubrication, but it is worth periodically checking the condition of the joint – play may affect stability when tightening. The sockets should be stored in an orderly manner to avoid losing them.
