How to choose the correct hose clip size
Measure the hose outer diameter at the installation point. Choose a hose clip whose lower clamping limit is equal to or slightly smaller than the measured value. For hoses that expand under pressure, allow a 3-5 mm margin. The clip should not be too large – an excessive adjustment range reduces clamping effectiveness.
Installation and use
Before installation, check the condition of the hose surface – remove dirt and mechanical damage. Place the hose clip over the hose and position it at the target location, keeping a suitable distance from the edge (minimum 10 mm). Tighten the hinged bolt gradually, checking that the clamping force is even. Use a hex key of the correct size and avoid excessive torque, which could damage the thread.
After first use of the installation, check that the hose clip is still tight – elastic materials may settle. In installations subject to vibration, checking the clamp every 3-6 months is recommended. Do not use these clips in highly corrosive environments – the W1 coating does not provide protection in contact with aggressive chemicals or sea water.
Operating environment
Galvanised W1 steel is intended for non-corrosive environments – workshops, production halls, indoor installations. In outdoor conditions exposed to moisture or in contact with chemicals, consider stainless steel clips or clips with additional protective coatings.
