A set of steel spring hose clips for securing hoses, lines and tubing in the 8–18 mm diameter range. Spring clips provide a constant, self-adjusting clamping force — unlike screw-type clips they need no re-tightening after fitting and do not lose their grip through temperature changes or vibration. The set covers 9 sizes, supplied in a compartmented organiser.
A spring clip maintains a constant clamping force throughout its service life. When a hose or line expands with heat, the clip automatically compensates for the change in dimension — removing the risk of leaks caused by a joint working loose.
The material delivers high elasticity and resistance to permanent deformation. A clip fitted and removed repeatedly keeps its original clamping properties. The protective coating limits corrosion in damp conditions and on contact with technical fluids.
Fitting and removing a spring clip requires only squeezing the lugs with hose clip pliers or combination pliers — no threaded tools needed. This shortens servicing time on coolant, fuel and vacuum hoses.
In systems exposed to vibration (combustion engines, construction machinery) screw-type clips can work loose on their own. A spring clip has no threaded parts, so vibration does not affect its clamping force.

Clip size is matched to the outside diameter of the hose or line once it has been pushed onto the stub. Spring clips have a 2 mm adjustment range — for example, an 8–10 mm clip fits hoses with an outside diameter of 8 to 10 mm. If in doubt, measure the hose with a vernier calliper at the point where the clip will be fitted.
Spring clips are fitted and removed with hose clip pliers or pliers with flat jaws. Squeezing the lugs opens the clip so that it can be slid along the hose. Once released, the clip closes automatically at the chosen point.
Before fitting, make sure the hose surface and the stub are clean and dry — dirt can reduce the tightness of the joint. Fit the clip at least 5 mm from the end of the stub so that pressure is even around the whole circumference.
