Twist drill bit made from HSS high-speed steel, designed for drilling holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The 4 mm working diameter makes it a versatile choice for assembly and workshop tasks.
HSS (high-speed steel) offers increased hardness and heat resistance. It retains its cutting properties even during intensive drilling, which translates into a longer tool life.
A size that ranks among the most commonly used diameters for assembly work. Suitable for drilling holes for M5 screws and rivets, and as a pilot hole for larger diameters.
The spiral flutes ensure efficient chip removal from the hole during drilling. This design reduces the risk of the tool jamming and improves the quality of the finished hole.
Intended for drilling structural steels, aluminium, copper, brass and other metals. Compatible with impact and non-impact drills with the hammer action switched off.

For structural steel, a rotational speed of 1,800–2,400 rpm is recommended, and for aluminium 3,000–4,000 rpm. Use a steady feed rate while drilling, without excessive pressure. For hard metals, the use of a cutting fluid or oil is recommended.
The drill bit is secured in the drill chuck using the self-tightening jaws or a keyed chuck. Make sure the shank is clamped centrally and perpendicular to the axis of rotation. Play in the chuck can lead to run-out and damage to the tool.
After finishing work, clean the drill bit of chips and residual material. Periodic sharpening on a grinder maintains its cutting properties. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion of the working surface.
