Steel drill bit made from high-speed steel (HSS) with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating and hex shank. Working diameter 3.5 mm, 135° point angle with Split Point geometry.
The titanium nitride layer increases surface hardness to approximately 2400 HV, which translates into a tool life up to 300% longer than uncoated HSS. The coating reduces friction and prevents chips from sticking to the flutes.
The shank, compliant with the ISO 1173 standard, fits directly into impact drills, cordless screwdrivers and quick-release chucks. The six flats prevent slipping under torque load.
The self-centring split point allows drilling to start without centre punching. The 135° angle reduces the axial force required to penetrate the material and shortens working time.
An iron alloy with tungsten, molybdenum and vanadium retains its hardness up to approximately 600°C. The material allows drilling of structural steels up to 900 MPa without loss of cutting edge sharpness.

For structural steel (S235-S355): speed 1800-2200 rpm, feed 0.05-0.08 mm/rev. For stainless steel: speed 1200-1500 rpm, feed 0.04-0.06 mm/rev. Use emulsion coolant or cutting oil when drilling holes deeper than 10 mm.
Before starting work, check that the drill bit is secure in the chuck – axial play must not exceed 0.1 mm. Begin drilling with the drill axis perpendicular to the material surface. For stainless steel, maintain a constant feed without stopping the drilling, to avoid work hardening the material.
Clean the drill bit after each use with compressed air or a natural-bristle brush. Do not use aggressive solvents that may damage the TiN coating. Store in a dry place, separate from other tools, to prevent damage to the cutting edges.
When drilling materials thicker than 5 mm, use a step drilling technique – drilling a pilot hole with a smaller drill bit (2.5-3 mm) reduces the load and extends tool life. Remove chips from the hole regularly by withdrawing the drill bit during the operation.
Wear safety goggles and cut-resistant gloves when drilling. Secure the workpiece to prevent it from moving. Do not exceed the maximum speed recommended for the material. Avoid excessive pressure, which can cause overheating and loss of the TiN coating's properties.
