Pneumatic spray gun operating in HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) technology, supplied with a set of four nozzles measuring 1.3, 1.4, 1.7 and 2.0 mm. This solution allows the tool to be matched to different types of paint, lacquer and materials of varying viscosity.
The High Volume Low Pressure system uses a large volume of air at low outlet pressure. This translates into a higher transfer efficiency of material onto the surface (less overspray) and reduced paint loss compared with conventional systems.
The 1.3 mm and 1.4 mm nozzles are used for basecoats and thin finish coats. The 1.7 mm and 2.0 mm nozzles are intended for primers, higher-viscosity paints and acrylic fillers. Changing the nozzle takes under a minute.
The air flow range determines the speed at which material is applied. A figure of 170 l/min is sufficient for precise detailing work, while 300 l/min allows large flat surfaces to be covered quickly. Requires a compressor with a suitable free air delivery.
The air control governs the outlet pressure, the fluid control meters the quantity of material, and the pattern control changes the geometry of the spray cone (from round to elliptical). Allows the parameters to be fine-tuned to the type of work.

The nozzle diameter must match the viscosity of the material. Nozzles 1.3-1.4 mm: basecoats, low-viscosity clearcoats. Nozzles 1.7 mm: 2K acrylic coatings, medium-density spray fillers. Nozzle 2.0 mm: high-build primers, high-solids paints, anti-corrosion primers. A nozzle that is too small for a thick material will clog, while one that is too large for a thin lacquer results in excessive consumption and runs.
The gun requires a compressor with a minimum free air delivery of 200-250 l/min at a pressure of 4 bar. The compressor tank should have a capacity of at least 50 litres to ensure stable pressure during continuous operation. Fitting a water trap and oil separator in the supply line is recommended — the presence of water or oil in the air causes coating defects (craters, fish eyes).
The 1/4" inlet is standard in workshop air systems. Make sure that the internal diameter of the air hose is at least 8 mm and that its length does not exceed 10 metres — an excessively long or narrow hose causes a drop in working pressure.
During spraying, keep a distance of 10-15 cm between the nozzle and the surface being painted. A distance of less than 10 cm increases the risk of runs and over-application of material. A distance of more than 15 cm causes excessive overspray, dry spray and increased paint consumption. The gun should be moved parallel to the surface, avoiding an arcing motion.
Before starting to spray, carry out a test on card or another test surface. The air control is set within the range of 2.5-3 bar on a gauge at the spray gun handle (not on the compressor tank). The fluid control governs needle travel — when fully open the material flows freely, while closing it by 1-2 turns gives controlled metering.
The pattern control changes the shape of the spray cone. Turning it towards "+" gives a wide, elliptical pattern for painting flat surfaces. Turning it towards "-" narrows the pattern to a round shape, which is useful for detailing work and hard-to-reach areas.
Once work is finished, immediately disconnect the gun from the compressed air supply, empty the cup of any remaining material and flush it through with a suitable solvent (for solvent-based paints) or water (for water-based paints). A dirty cup and fluid passages contaminate the next batch of paint and cause coating defects.
The fluid passages are cleaned by passing 50-100 ml of clean solvent through the gun with the trigger held open. The air cap should be cleaned with a brush soaked in solvent. Never immerse the whole gun in solvent — this destroys the seals and rubber parts. Blocked holes should not be cleaned with hard metal objects (wire, needles) — damage to the calibrated orifices changes the geometry of the spray pattern and reduces spray quality.
After cleaning, apply a thin layer of grease to the moving parts: the needle shaft, the adjustment thread and the trigger mechanism. The nozzle should be tightened sufficiently to prevent leaks, but not so tightly as to restrict needle movement. Overtightening may damage the threads or deform the seals.
The gun should be stored in a clean, dry place, protected from dust. Long-term storage requires all moving parts to be lightly greased and protected.
