The KD12525 is a manual hydraulic crimping tool designed for crimping end fittings onto brake and air conditioning pipes. It produces durable, leak-tight joints on copper pipe, aluminium pipe and thin-wall steel tubing without the risk of mechanical damage during the crimping process.
The hydraulic mechanism distributes the clamping force evenly around the full circumference of the fitting being crimped. This results in symmetrical deformation of the fitting and a leak-tight finished joint — particularly important in systems operating under pressure.
Its small size and manual operation make the tool suitable both for workshop use and for mobile jobs. It requires no connection to an external power supply or compressed air.
The working parts are made from materials resistant to brake fluid and air conditioning refrigerant. This extends the tool's service life in a workshop environment, where contact with aggressive fluids is unavoidable.
The controlled clamping mechanism eliminates the risk of over- or under-crimping the fitting. A correctly formed crimp is essential for the leak-tightness of the brake system and the safety of the vehicle in service.

Before purchase, check that the diameters of the dies supplied with the tool match the diameters of the pipes used in the system being repaired. Typical brake pipe diameters are 3.2 mm (1/8") and 4.75 mm (3/16"), while air conditioning pipes may come in various sizes depending on the vehicle manufacturer and model. Details of the available dies should be confirmed against the tool manufacturer's documentation.
After each use, clean the working parts of the tool to remove any residue of brake fluid or refrigerant oil, which can cause corrosion and seizure of the hydraulic mechanism. The hydraulic mechanism requires the hydraulic oil level to be checked periodically — if the clamping force drops or the ram moves unevenly, top up or replace the oil in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Store the tool in a dry place, away from heat sources and direct exposure to the weather.
