Impact socket for pneumatic and electric impact wrenches, made from chrome molybdenum (CrMo) steel. 1/2 inch drive size, 18 mm socket size, protected with a phosphate coating against corrosion.
A material that withstands the cyclic impact loads generated by pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. The chrome and molybdenum alloy increases hardness and wear resistance, which translates into a longer socket service life under intensive workshop use.
The standard used in professional pneumatic and electric power tools with medium torque output. The socket works with impact wrenches, ratchets and speed braces fitted with a 1/2" square drive. Compatibility should be checked by measuring the drive square of the tool.
A size dedicated to 18 mm hex head nuts and bolts, commonly found in brake systems, suspension and vehicle underbody components. The precise fit minimises the risk of damaging fastener edges during work.
The phosphating process creates a protective layer that shields the steel against corrosion in a workshop environment exposed to moisture and chemicals. The coating also provides better grease adhesion, which makes tool maintenance easier.

Before use, check that the impact wrench has a 1/2" square drive. The socket is not intended for hand ratchets of lower strength – using it with non-impact tools may damage the ratchet mechanism.
After finishing work, clean the socket of contaminants and protect it with a thin layer of oil or grease. Regular maintenance extends the life of the phosphate coating and prevents corrosion. Store in a dry place, ideally in an organiser or tool case.
When using impact wrenches, wear safety goggles and gloves. Make sure the socket is correctly seated on the drive square and the fastener. Do not exceed the maximum torque recommended by the impact wrench manufacturer.
