Professional impact bit socket for internal hex fasteners, made from chrome molybdenum steel. Designed for use with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches under heavy loads.
Technical characteristics
Chrome molybdenum steel (CR-MO)
A high impact strength material used in tools for industrial applications. It retains its mechanical properties under the repeated dynamic loads typical of impact wrenches.
H4 hex tip
Internal hexagon bit measuring H4 (4 mm). The precise fit minimises play between the socket and the bolt, reducing the risk of damaging the head edges at high torque.
1/2" drive
1/2" (12.7 mm) square drive – the standard on professional impact wrenches. Fitted with a pin hole for a retaining pin and a locking ring to stop it falling off the wrench during use.
Impact-rated construction
A reinforced design with thicker walls and a flexible steel structure that absorbs vibration. It protects against cracking when used with high-torque pneumatic and electric impact wrenches.

CR-MO versus CR-V steel
Chrome molybdenum steel (CR-MO) differs from the widely used chrome vanadium steel (CR-V) in its mechanical properties, which are tailored to impact work.

Use and maintenance
Checking compatibility
Before use, check that the bolt size matches the H4 (4 mm) marking. The tip should seat in the bolt's hex recess with no play. Play damages the edges of the bolt head and makes it harder to undo the fastener. Make sure your impact wrench has a 1/2" drive – other sizes (1/4", 3/8", 3/4") are not compatible.
Maintenance
After use, clean dirt and oil from the socket. Check the condition of the drive – worn edges can cause the socket to fall off the wrench. Store in a dry place. The anti-corrosion coating protects against rust, but contact with moisture shortens the tool's service life.
