An impact socket with a 3/4 inch drive, designed for use with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. Model YT-1071 is made from chrome-molybdenum (CrMo) steel, which provides resistance to the shock loads generated by impact tools.
The 3/4" (19.05 mm) size is a standard used in high-power tools. Sockets with this drive work with impact wrenches delivering torque from 200 to 2000 Nm, which allows bolted joints to be tackled on trucks, construction machinery and industrial plant.
The CrMo alloy combines increased surface hardness with a tough, flexible core. This material structure absorbs impacts without cracking, which matters under the repeated shock loads generated by impact wrenches. The chromium content also improves resistance to corrosion and wear.
Impact sockets differ from standard sockets in having thicker walls and a special heat treatment. The reinforced construction withstands repeated impacts without deforming the corners of the internal hex, which prevents damage to bolt heads and nuts during use.
The 21 mm hex is a common size for wheel bolts and nuts on cars and light commercial vehicles, and for hydraulic installations. This dimension also corresponds to M14 metric threads, frequently found in brake and suspension systems.

| Drive size | 3/4" (19.05 mm) |
| Socket size (hex) | 21 mm |
| Material | Chrome-molybdenum steel (CrMo) |
| Socket type | Impact |
| Intended use | Pneumatic and electric impact wrenches |
The socket is designed for impact wrenches fitted with a 3/4" square drive. Before use, check the maximum torque of the wrench - for the 21 mm size, tools with a torque of up to 800 Nm are recommended. Exceeding this figure may deform the socket or damage the fastener.
Before buying, make sure your impact wrench has a 3/4" square drive. With smaller tools (1/2" or 1/4"), you will need an adaptor or a socket with the matching drive. The 21 mm size corresponds to wheel bolts and nuts with an M14 thread.
After each use, clean the socket of dirt and protect it from moisture. Regularly lubricating the drive square extends the service life of both the socket and the impact wrench. While working, check the condition of the hex corners - visible rounding or cracks mean the socket should be replaced.
Impact sockets should not be used with hand wrenches fitted with extension bars, as this risks damaging the tool. The impact design is intended to absorb short pulses, not the static load applied through a lever.
