A professional Tvardy impact socket made from CR-MO chrome molybdenum steel, designed for use with impact wrenches in workshop and industrial conditions.
Chrome molybdenum steel offers greater resistance to dynamic loads than standard CR-V steel. The molybdenum content improves impact strength and reduces the risk of cracking when used with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches.
The 3/4" (19 mm) square drive is the standard fitting for heavy-duty tools – steelwork assembly, HGV servicing and construction machinery. It transmits more torque than the common 1/2" drives.
The internal six-point profile spreads force evenly across all six corners of the bolt or nut. It minimises the risk of damaging fasteners at high tightening torques, particularly worn or corroded ones.
The hole allows a retaining pin or ring to be fitted, which stops the socket from coming off the tool's drive while working at height or in hard-to-reach places.

CR-MO steel (chrome molybdenum) – contains added molybdenum, which increases resistance to impact loads and improves the flexibility of the material. Used in sockets designed for pneumatic and electric impact wrenches, where repeated high-energy impacts occur.
CR-V steel (chrome vanadium) – a material with good hardness but lower impact resistance. Suitable for hand sockets and torque wrenches, where forces are applied smoothly, without impacts.
Before starting work, check that the socket is seated correctly on the tool's drive. Any play can damage both the socket and the driving tool.
Impact sockets should be cleaned of dirt regularly and lightly oiled, particularly around the square drive. Avoid contact with corrosive substances, which can weaken the steel structure.
Impact sockets must not be used with torque wrenches – these tools require standard sockets with controlled elasticity characteristics.
