An open-ended spanner with certified VDE insulation, designed for work on electrical installations live up to 1000V AC. Made from chrome vanadium steel with a multi-component handle that ensures a secure grip.
The VDE certificate confirms compliance with safety standards for work on electrical installations live up to 1000V AC. The insulation covers the entire handle and protects against electric shock during the assembly, dismantling and servicing of electrical equipment.
The chrome vanadium alloy provides increased hardness and resistance to deformation compared with standard tool steel. The material withstands high mechanical loads when working on tightly torqued bolted connections in distribution boards and electrical cabinets.
The handle is made from several layers of materials of differing hardness, combining a rigid core with a soft, micro-textured outer covering. The design prevents the tool from slipping out of the hand when working in insulating gloves or in damp conditions.
The 21mm spanner fits nuts and bolt heads of this size, commonly found in electrical installations, low-voltage distribution boards and when fitting electrical accessories. The 195mm length provides adequate leverage while retaining manoeuvrability in confined spaces.

The VDE certificate (Verband der Elektrotechnik) means that the tool has passed conformity tests to German and European safety standards for work on electrical equipment. VDE insulation up to 1000V AC protects against electric shock when working on low-voltage installations. The condition of the insulation must be checked before every use - cracks, cuts or damage disqualify the tool from use.
Before starting work, the spanner should be inspected - check the condition of the insulation and look for cracks and mechanical damage. The insulation must not be cut, pierced or detached from the metal part. The tool should be stored in a dry place, away from heat sources and chemical substances that could damage the insulating layer.
The spanner is intended solely for work on bolted connections - it must not be used as a lever, hammer or impact tool. After finishing work, the spanner should be cleaned of contamination with a dry cloth. Insulated tools must not be washed in organic solvents, which can damage the protective layer.
The micro-textured handle surface ensures a secure grip even when working in dielectric gloves. For work on live equipment above 50V AC, appropriate personal protective equipment must always be used in accordance with health and safety regulations for electrical work.
