Dielectric insulation on the handles
Plastic sleeves protect against electric shock when working near live conductors. The insulation meets the safety requirements for insulated tools, protecting the user from accidental contact with conductive parts.
Hardened steel cutting jaws
Blades made from hardened carbon steel ensure durable cutting edges and a precise, clean cut without crushing the conductor. Hardening increases resistance to wear, which extends the tool's service life in intensive use.
Jaw opening spring
A built-in spring mechanism automatically opens the jaws after each cut, reducing the effort required for repeated use. This reduces hand fatigue during prolonged work and speeds up conductor cutting.

Use and maintenance
Before use, check the condition of the handle insulation — cracks or mechanical damage mean the tool must not be used on live conductors. The side cutters are designed for copper and aluminium conductors with a maximum cross-section of 1.5 mm². Exceeding this value may damage the cutting edges or deform the jaws.
After use, clean the jaws of any insulation residues and conductor sheathings. The pivot can be lubricated periodically with a drop of machine oil to keep the movement smooth and protect against corrosion. Store the tool in a dry place, away from sources of moisture.
Safety at work
The handle insulation protects against electric shock but does not replace isolating the supply in accordance with health and safety procedures. Before working on electrical installations, use appropriate personal protective equipment and observe the regulations governing work on electrical equipment. The tool is not designed for cutting steel conductors or armoured cables.
