A steel cable lock with a keyed locking mechanism. The 12 mm diameter, 800 mm long cable provides a basic level of protection against theft for short stops in areas of moderate risk.
The 12 mm thick steel cable offers a basic level of security. This diameter protects against hand tools, but is not a barrier to professional equipment. Recommended for short stops in areas with natural surveillance.
The 80 cm length allows the bike to be secured to standard items of urban infrastructure: racks, lamp posts and railings. It is long enough to pass the cable through the frame and a wheel, which increases security compared with locking the frame only.
The rubber coating serves two purposes: it protects the bike's paintwork from scratches during locking and shields the steel cable from direct exposure to moisture and rain, which extends the life of the lock.
The lock mechanism is fitted with a cover that protects it against dust, mud and water. The cover prevents dirt from building up in the lock barrel, which could hinder its operation. Two keys supplied.

12 mm cable locks provide a basic level of security. For optimum protection, always pass the cable through the frame and at least one wheel, securing the bike to a stable, permanently fixed object. In areas with a higher risk of theft, consider using a cable lock as a supplement to a stronger U-lock.
The lock mechanism requires periodic lubrication, particularly after exposure to rain or snow. Graphite or PTFE lock lubricant should be applied every 2-3 months. Clean dust and sand from the lock barrel before applying lubricant.
The rubber cable sleeve should be checked regularly for cracks and damage. Even minor damage to the coating can lead to corrosion of the steel cable, particularly in winter when road salt is used.
After use in wet or dirty conditions, it is worth wiping the lock with a dry cloth. The lock cover should always be closed after removing the key to prevent water and dirt from entering the mechanism.
