A wire wheel brush with a knotted steel wire construction, designed for fitting to angle grinders. A tool for removing coatings, rust and contamination from metal surfaces and for preparing the substrate for subsequent stages of work.
Steel wire arranged in a knotted pattern provides greater rigidity and a more aggressive action than crimped wire brushes. The wheel design allows you to reach edges and awkward areas where cup brushes are of limited effectiveness.
The hardening process increases the hardness of the wire, giving a longer tool life and maintaining its abrasive properties during intensive work. Hardened wire copes better with removing hard coatings and firmly adhering rust.
The standard fitting used on most angle grinders from 500 W upwards. The M14 thread provides a secure fit and direct drive without the need for additional adapters. Before fitting, check the thread type on your grinder – older models may require an M10 thread.
The maximum operating speed is determined by the mechanical strength of the wire and the construction of the brush. Exceeding this figure can damage the tool or cause wires to break off. The grinder speed must be set within the maximum rating of the brush.
| Model | GEKO G00607 |

| Compatibility | 115–125 mm angle grinders with an M14 thread |
Disconnect the grinder from the mains supply before fitting. Screw the brush onto the M14 spindle thread by hand, then tighten it with a spanner while the spindle is locked. Check the maximum speed of the grinder – it must not exceed 8,500 rpm. Once fitted, run the tool at no load for 30 seconds.
Work with the brush tilted at 15–30 degrees to the surface being worked. Do not apply excessive pressure – the weight of the grinder is enough for effective cleaning. Check the condition of the wire regularly – if the wires are worn or bent, replace the brush with a new one. Wear safety goggles, gloves and work clothing – fragments of wire and debris may fly off during use.
