The KD1166 is a portable manual pump designed for transferring fuel and lubricants from 200 or 220 litre drums. The body, made of aluminium alloy and cast iron, provides resistance to mineral oils and fuels while keeping the unit lightweight.
The aluminium alloy reduces the weight of the unit, making it easier to carry and fit to a drum. Cast iron in the parts subject to wear increases the mechanical durability of the pump in regular use.
With no electric motor, the pump can be used where there is no access to mains power — on building sites, in field workshops, on agricultural machinery or in warehouses without an electrical installation.
The pump fits standard industrial drums of 200 and 220 litres, the most common format for storing oils and fuels in workshops and on farms.
The simple mechanical design keeps the number of parts requiring servicing to a minimum. Dismantling and cleaning the pump does not require specialist tools, which shortens downtime during use.

The KD1166 pump is designed for transferring the following fluids:
The KD1166 pump fits standard steel drums of 200 L and 220 L with a typical filler opening. Before fitting, check the diameter of the drum opening and make sure the fluid being pumped is a mineral oil or fuel — the pump is not intended for chemically aggressive liquids, acids or alkalis.
After each use, it is advisable to pump a small amount of clean oil through to flush any remaining fluid out of the pump. Storing the pump with oil inside prevents the seals from drying out and the cast iron parts from corroding. Regularly checking the tightness of the connections and the condition of the seals extends the service life of the unit.
The pump does not require external lubrication — the fluid being pumped also acts as a lubricant for the internal parts.
