Single-Phase 6 kW / 230V Generator – KD167
The KD167 is a single-phase diesel-powered generator fitted with a 4-stroke 418 cm³ engine and a copper-wound alternator. The unit is designed for emergency and mobile power supply where no mains connection is available.
Key Features
Smart Throttle Technology
The system automatically adjusts engine speed to suit the actual power demand. Under light load the engine runs at reduced speed, which translates into lower fuel consumption and less noise. When demand for power rises, engine speed is increased automatically to maintain a stable output voltage.
Copper alternator windings
A copper stator offers better electrical and thermal conductivity than aluminium, along with greater resistance to oxidation. This translates into more stable alternator performance over a longer service life and lower energy losses during conversion.
Dual starting system
The generator can be started either manually (recoil starter) or electrically (starter motor). Electric starting is particularly useful in low ambient temperatures or where the unit is installed in a position with limited access. The supplied cables allow the starter battery to be charged from an external source.
Operating monitoring and vibration damping
A built-in voltmeter allows the output voltage to be checked on an ongoing basis without external measuring instruments. The fuel gauge shows the remaining running time. Anti-vibration mounts reduce the vibration transmitted to the ground, which matters when working near sensitive equipment or on unstable surfaces.
Maximum output vs rated output – the practical difference
Maximum output (6000 W) defines the short-term load the generator can handle briefly – for example when electric motors start up, as these draw many times more power than during continuous operation. Rated output (5500 W) is the level at which the unit can run without interruption. When planning connected appliances, base your calculations on the rated output and allow for the sum of their rated power ratings.

Use and Maintenance
Before the first start-up, check the engine oil level and make sure the fuel tank is filled with diesel that meets the engine manufacturer's requirements. An air-cooled generator needs a free flow of air around the unit – the minimum clearance from obstructions is 1 m on all sides.
The maximum continuous running time is 4 hours, after which the unit should be switched off and allowed to cool before being started again. Regular maintenance includes: changing the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation and then every 100 hours or in line with the operating manual, checking and cleaning the air filter, and checking the condition of the spark plugs.
When connecting appliances, make sure that the combined power of the devices does not exceed the generator's rated output (5500 W). Equipment with electric motors has a higher starting current – this factor must be taken into account when planning the load.
