A specialist tool for removing Common Rail injectors from Mercedes CDI engines. The kit allows seized injectors to be extracted safely without risking damage to the injector seats in the cylinder head.
The kit works with injectors from Bosch, Denso, Delphi and Siemens. This means it can be used in most Mercedes CDI engines fitted with a Common Rail direct injection system, where injection pressure reaches 1600-2000 bar.
The kit includes adaptors matched to three engines: OM611 (2.2 CDI), OM612 (2.7 CDI) and OM613 (3.2 CDI). Each adaptor has a specific geometry that corresponds to the shape of the injector seat in the given engine.
The slide hammer generates impact force without the need for swinging, which allows work in the confined space of the engine bay. The swivel joint allows the tool to be set at an angle to suit the position of the injector.
Oxidising the carbon steel increases the surface hardness of the working parts and provides corrosion protection. The material withstands the repeated mechanical loads encountered when extracting seized injectors.

Before starting work, clean any contamination from around the injector. Check that the selected adaptor matches the engine type (OM611, OM612 or OM613). Fit the adaptor onto the puller shaft and check that the connection is secure.
The slide hammer is positioned on the puller shaft and worked with short back-and-forth strokes. The impact force is generated automatically by the internal mechanism. The swivel joint should be set at an angle that ensures the force acts axially relative to the injector.
After each use, clean fuel deposits and dirt from the working parts. Check the condition of the threads on the adaptors and the shaft. Store in the carry case in a dry room. Periodically lubricate the moving parts of the slide hammer with maintenance grease.
