A digital wall scanner designed to locate concealed structural and service elements before drilling or chasing into walls, ceilings and floors. The unit detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals, copper pipes, live AC and DC cables and timber elements — in a single compact tool with an LCD display.
Key features
Multi-material detection
The detector distinguishes between the types of object found: ferrous and non-ferrous metals, copper pipes, AC and DC electrical cables and timber elements. This means the user knows not only where an obstruction is, but also what it is — which is directly relevant when deciding on drilling depth and position.
LCD display with depth indicator
The backlit screen shows the estimated depth of the detected object, a percentage signal strength indicator, a centre marker ("Center") for accurate marking out, plus battery level and the active operating mode. Readings remain legible in poorly lit rooms.
Three-colour LED and audible indication
Three-colour LED indication (green, yellow, red) shows the distance to the detected object — the closer it is, the more intense the signal. A simultaneous audible signal lets you work without constantly looking at the display.
Two wood detection modes
The precision mode (up to 20 mm) enables accurate location of shallowly embedded timber elements, e.g. battens beneath plaster. The deep mode (up to 38 mm) extends the range at the cost of slightly lower centre-finding accuracy — useful with thicker finishing layers.
