An aluminium oxide abrasive disc designed for cutting structural steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. The 400 mm diameter allows work with large angle grinders and metal cut-off saws.
A size intended for large angle grinders and stationary cut-off saws. It provides a cutting depth of up to approximately 150 mm, depending on the design of the tool. Before fitting, check the maximum permitted disc diameter in the tool's instruction manual.
A standard thickness for metal cutting discs of this size. It offers a balance between mechanical strength and cutting speed. A thicker disc means greater stability when working with thick steel sections.
The centring bore diameter is matched to the spindles of professional grinders and cut-off saws. Before purchase, verify the spindle diameter of your tool. Fitting to the wrong diameter may cause dangerous disc runout.
A high-hardness aluminium oxide used in discs for ferrous metals. During cutting, the aluminium oxide grains self-sharpen, exposing new cutting edges. This material provides consistent cutting performance throughout the life of the disc.

A 400 mm disc requires a professional angle grinder or stationary cut-off saw with an output of at least 2000-2500 W. Check the maximum disc speed (usually marked on the label) and compare it with the specifications of the tool. Using a disc at excessive speed may cause it to break.
Before every use, inspect the disc for cracks and damage. A guard on the tool, safety goggles, gloves and workwear are mandatory. Metal cutting produces sparks and hot debris, so protect the surrounding area from flammable materials. Do not apply excessive pressure to the disc during cutting.
Abrasive discs should be stored in a dry room, either flat or suspended on suitable racks. Avoid contact with moisture, which can weaken the bond holding the abrasive grains. Discs should not be exposed to mechanical impact or stored in locations with large temperature fluctuations.
