NCV Clamp Meter GEKO G30822

Digital clamp meter with True RMS and a non-contact voltage detector. It measures AC current up to 400A without breaking the electrical circuit, along with a wide range of voltage, resistance, capacitance and frequency measurements.

AC current400A
DC/AC voltage600V
Jaw openingmax 28mm
NCV detectornon-contact

Technical features

True RMS

True RMS technology delivers accurate measurement of the RMS value of AC voltage and current, regardless of waveform shape. Particularly important when measuring circuits with inverters, switched-mode power supplies and devices that generate distorted waveforms.

Non-contact voltage (NCV) detector

The built-in NCV detector senses the presence of AC voltage without touching the conductor. A useful function for preliminary fault finding, checking the condition of cables in walls or verifying that the power is off before starting work.

Clamp measurement of AC current

Jaws with a 28mm opening allow AC current measurement up to 400A without breaking the circuit. A non-invasive, safe and quick method – simply clamp the jaws around the conductor. Maximum conductor diameter: 26mm.

Automatic measurement

Autoranging, Data Hold (freezing the reading), MIN/MAX memory and Zero Mode simplify taking measurements and reading results. The backlit LCD display remains legible in difficult lighting conditions.

Additional functions

  • Diode test – verifies the condition of diodes and semiconductor junctions
  • Continuity test with audible signal
  • REL function – relative value measurement (zeroing the display)
  • Data Hold – freezes the reading on the display
  • MIN/MAX memory – records minimum and maximum values
  • Zero Mode – zeroing the display before measurement
  • Voltage polarity indicator
  • Over-range indicator
  • Low battery indicator
  • Automatic power-off after a period of inactivity

Applications

  • Diagnostics of electrical installations in buildings
  • Current measurement in supply circuits without interrupting equipment operation
  • Checking the load on supply lines and distribution boards
  • Servicing of electronic and electrical equipment
  • Fault finding in industrial installations
  • Verification of power supply and transformer parameters
  • Measurements in electronics and electromechanical workshops
  • Checking the condition of heating equipment and electric motors

CAT II and CAT III safety categories

CAT II 600V – the device is suitable for measurements in final circuits supplied directly from the distribution board (socket outlets, appliances). CAT III 300V – permits measurements in distribution circuits and permanent industrial installations. The categories define the level of overvoltage protection in different parts of the electrical network.

Note

Two AAA batteries are not included. Before first use, install the batteries as described in the operating instructions. Before taking measurements, familiarise yourself with the safety rules and the limitations of the CAT II/CAT III measurement categories.
