A set of number punches for permanently marking metal and other surfaces. Supplied with a complete set of digits from 0 to 9, made from reinforced carbon steel and presented in a practical plastic case.
The set contains 9 punches with the following digits: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6/9, 7, 8. The 6 serves a dual purpose — turned through 180 degrees it acts as a 9, so any numeric sequence can be marked.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the punches offer the hardness required to stamp clear marks on metals, wood and plastics. The material resists deformation during repeated use.
The standard 6 mm character height produces marks that are legible from a working distance, yet still suitable for marking items with limited surface area, such as small tools or mechanical components.
The plastic case protects the punches from mechanical damage and corrosion during storage. It also helps to keep the workspace tidy and provides quick access to each individual digit.

Hold the punch perpendicular to the surface of the item being marked and strike it with a hammer using controlled force. The depth of the impression depends on the hardness of the material and the force of the blow. Before starting work, it is worth making a test impression on a piece of scrap material in order to gauge the correct striking force.
Store the punches in the supplied case, in a dry place. After working with damp or contaminated materials, wipe the punches with a dry cloth. A thin coat of machine oil can be applied to prevent corrosion during long-term storage.
