Offset ring spanner with a 72-tooth ratchet mechanism, designed for fitting and removing 19mm nuts and bolts. The tool is made from CrV chrome vanadium steel with an offset head, allowing work in confined assembly spaces.
The 72-tooth ratchet requires only a 5° working arc, enabling work in tight spaces where a full turn of the spanner is not possible. A forward/reverse lever allows quick changes between working modes without removing the spanner from the fastener.
CrV steel combines mechanical strength with wear resistance. The addition of vanadium increases hardness and resistance to material fatigue, which translates into a longer tool life under intensive use.
A Rockwell hardness range of 42-48 HRC provides a balance between resistance to deformation and flexibility. A hardness below 42 HRC could lead to deformation under load, while above 48 HRC the risk of cracking under overload would increase.
The offset of the head relative to the axis of the handle provides access to fasteners located in recesses or surrounded by obstacles. This design reduces the risk of the hand coming into contact with hot or sharp surfaces during work.

The 19mm size refers to the across-flats dimension of the bolt or nut, i.e. the distance between the parallel faces of the hexagon. Before starting work, verify the size of the fastener with a vernier caliper or by checking the technical documentation for the vehicle or equipment. 19mm is a standard size in European automotive applications for wheel bolts and many braking system components.
Before each use, check the condition of the ratchet mechanism by switching the direction of rotation several times and making a few test movements. The spanner should be fitted onto the fastener so that the working surfaces make full contact — incorrect alignment leads to rounding of the nut edges.
After working in a damp environment or one exposed to chemicals, clean the spanner of contaminants and protect it with a thin layer of tool oil. The ratchet mechanism requires periodic lubrication — a grease with a consistency that allows it to penetrate between the mechanism's components is recommended.
The ratchet spanner is not designed for use with extension tubes or for striking with a hammer. Exceeding the torque specified for a given size may damage the ratchet mechanism. For seized connections, the use of penetrating fluid and an impact wrench or a spanner without a ratchet mechanism is recommended.
