CrV 6140 chrome vanadium steel

72-tooth ratchet

How the ratchet mechanism works

Use and maintenance

After work, wipe the spanners clean of dirt and oil. If they come into contact with moisture, dry the tools thoroughly. The ratchet mechanism can be lubricated periodically with a thin film of machine oil, which will keep it running smoothly for a long time.
Storing in a dry place, away from sources of moisture, prevents corrosion and preserves the protective properties of the chrome layer. Avoiding mechanical overload – using extension bars or pipes as levers – protects against damage to the mechanism and deformation of the ring ends.
