Double-ended Offset Ring Spanner 10x12 mm YATO YT-0170
C-type offset ring spanner with two different ring sizes (10 mm and 12 mm) in a single tool. Hardened chrome vanadium steel with a hardness of 42-48 HRC resists deformation when working with high torques. The satin chrome finish protects against corrosion in a workshop environment.

Double-ended 10x12 mm design
Two different ring sizes in a single tool remove the need to switch between spanners when working on fasteners of similar dimensions. The 10 mm size corresponds to M6 nuts and the 12 mm size to M8 nuts under ISO standards.
Hardness of 42-48 HRC
The hardness range on the Rockwell scale balances wear resistance with material flexibility. A value below 42 HRC would cause deformation, while above 48 HRC would increase the risk of cracking under load.
145 mm working length
The length of the spanner determines the available torque and reach within assembly spaces. 145 mm is a compromise between leverage and the ability to work in the confined spaces typical of an engine bay or chassis components.
AS-DRIVE technology

Checking compatibility with fasteners
The 10 mm ring fits M6 nuts and bolt heads (10 mm spanner size according to ISO 272). The 12 mm ring corresponds to M8 fasteners. Before use, check the condition of the thread – damaged or corroded joints require prior cleaning with penetrating fluid.
Use and maintenance of the spanner
A ring spanner must be fully engaged with the nut before torque is applied. Partial engagement leads to stress concentration and damage to both the tool and the fastener. When working on seized joints, rocking movements are recommended rather than continuous pressure.
The chrome finish requires periodic cleaning to remove oil contamination and grease residue. After contact with road salt or coolant, the tool should be rinsed with water and dried. Storage in high-humidity conditions shortens the life of the protective coating.
Maximum torque
With a lever length of 145 mm and a force of 100 N, the achievable torque is approximately 14.5 Nm. The material's strength is exceeded only at much higher values, but regular overloading leads to micro-cracks and shortens the service life of the tool.
