A double-ended ring spanner with offset heads, designed for fitting and removing 21 mm and 23 mm nuts and bolt heads. The satin finish protects against corrosion and makes the tool easy to keep clean.
The rings are set at an angle to the shaft, allowing work in confined spaces where access with a standard spanner is difficult. The offset design lets you clear obstacles and achieve a better angle of attack when tightening.
The internal ring profile with twelve contact points distributes force more evenly across the nut edges, minimising the risk of damaging the corners. It allows work in 30-degree rotation increments, which is useful in places with a limited range of movement.
The matt satin surface increases resistance to corrosion and makes it easier to keep the tool clean. The satin finish also reduces glare when working in well-lit areas.
This double-ended spanner with 21 mm and 23 mm rings covers two common nut sizes without having to change tools. This reduces the number of spanners needed in a workshop set.

Before buying, measure the width of the nut or bolt head with a feeler gauge or calipers. The spanner size corresponds to the across flats (AF) dimension, i.e. the distance between the parallel faces of the nut. A 21 mm spanner fits M14 nuts, and a 23 mm spanner fits M16 nuts in the metric standard.
The ring spanner should be placed fully onto the nut, making sure the ring sits flush against all edges. When tightening, pull the spanner towards you rather than pushing it away, which gives better control over the force applied and reduces the risk of it slipping. After use, clean the spanner of dirt and protect it with a thin layer of maintenance oil.
Do not use extension bars or pipes slid over the ring spanner, as this increases the torque beyond the tool's capacity and can cause permanent deformation. For seized joints, use penetrating oil and impact or ratchet spanners.
