A professional 21-piece socket set for removing and fitting oil filters on vehicles of various makes. It includes sockets ranging from 65 mm to 101 mm in diameter with a range of profiles (8, 12, 14, 15 and 18-point), matched to the filter designs used in European, Asian and American cars.

Aluminium construction
Manufactured from aluminium alloy, which reduces the weight of the tools while maintaining adequate mechanical strength. The lighter sockets make work easier in the confined spaces under the bonnet, where every gram counts during longer service operations.
Filter-protecting profile
The multi-point grip design spreads the tightening forces over a larger area of the filter housing. This minimises the risk of deforming the metal cap when removing clamps or over-tightened filters, which could otherwise make refitting more difficult.
1/2" ratchet

Use and maintenance
Before use, identify the diameter and profile of the filter housing on the vehicle in question. The socket should fit without play – any play can cause it to slip and damage the edge of the filter. The 1/2" ratchet requires periodic lubrication of the ratchet mechanism with tool oil.
When removing heavily tightened filters, short rotational impulses are recommended rather than continuous pressure. Aluminium sockets should not be used with impact tools – this can deform the working profile.
After each use, clean the sockets of oil and dirt. Aluminium is corrosion-resistant, but contact with aggressive chemicals (e.g. brake fluid) can dull the surface. Storing the set in its original case protects the components from mechanical damage during transport.
