A petrol engine intended as a replacement part or upgrade component for GEKO petrol lawn mowers, model G83053.
The engine is designed specifically for the G83053 lawn mower model. It mounts on the standard fixing points, so no additional modifications to the machine are needed. When replacing the engine, check that the part numbers match.
A 4-stroke engine has separate oil and fuel circuits, which translates into lower fuel consumption and reduced exhaust emissions compared with 2-stroke units. It requires regular engine oil changes.
The engine design ensures efficient combustion of the air-fuel mixture, resulting in lower petrol consumption during standard operation. Reduced fuel consumption means longer running time on a single tank.
Basic maintenance includes engine oil changes, air filter cleaning and periodic spark plug checks. The engine design allows most service tasks to be carried out by the user.

Before buying the engine, check the lawn mower model number on the rating plate and compare the mounting dimensions with those of the original engine. If in any doubt, consult a service centre or the manufacturer, quoting the lawn mower's serial number.
A 4-stroke engine requires regular engine oil changes – the first after 5 hours of operation (running-in), then every 25–50 hours of operation or once a season. The air filter should be cleaned every 25 hours, or more often when working in dusty conditions.
The spark plug should be checked every season and replaced when the electrodes show visible wear. Check the oil level before every start – the engine must run with the correct oil level to avoid mechanical damage.
Fuel should be stored in sealed containers and for no longer than 30 days. Before winter storage, drain the fuel tank and carburettor or add a petrol stabiliser.
After fitting the new engine, fill the lubrication system with oil as recommended by the manufacturer, check the mechanical connections and carry out a test start without load. The first hours of operation should be at moderate engine speeds to allow the moving parts to run in.
