A spot welder for joining 18650 lithium cells with nickel-plated and nickel strips. The device features a 6300 mAh Li-Po battery, an LCD display and ten welding power levels.
A maximum current of 500 A provides enough power to weld 0.15 mm thick nickel-plated strips to lithium cells. Ten power levels let you adjust the settings to the material thickness and cell type, preventing the cells from overheating and being damaged.
Lithium-polymer cells with a capacity of 6300 mAh (26.46 Wh, 4.2 V) allow repeated use without the need for recharging. USB-C charging means standard chargers can be used. The device can also work as a power bank – the USB-A port supplies 5 V at up to 2 A.
The LCD display with an intuitive menu lets you monitor welding parameters in real time. The selected power level, battery charge status and other operating parameters are all visible, giving precise control over the process.
Dimensions of 148 × 86 × 30 mm and a weight of 0.32 kg make the spot welder easy to transport and store. This portability matters for service work or when assembling battery packs away from the workshop.

The spot welder handles 0.15 mm thick nickel-plated strips. For greater thicknesses, test welds should be carried out, as the power setting may need adjusting. Too high a current can damage the cell; too low a current will not produce a lasting bond.
Before welding, charge the battery through the USB-C port using the supplied cable. A full charge takes several hours, depending on the charger used (5 V / 1.5 A recommended). The LCD display shows the charge status.
During use, keep the ambient temperature within 0–35°C. Too low a temperature reduces Li-Po battery performance; too high a temperature can cause the device to overheat. After use, store the device at 0–50°C.
The welding pins are consumable parts – they wear out over time with repeated welding. The kit includes four spare pins. Replacement involves unscrewing the worn pin and screwing a new one onto the welding cable.
Before welding, clean the surface of the cells and strips of grease and contamination, which will ensure a better quality weld. Avoid welding near flammable materials.
Lithium cells are sensitive to overheating. Use an appropriate welding power level and avoid repeated welding in the same spot over a short period. An overheated cell can be damaged or, in extreme cases, catch fire.
