GEKO G72300 PTO Drive Shaft – 80 cm, tube type
A tube-type PTO drive shaft designed to transmit power between a tractor and agricultural machinery. Model G72300 is suitable for machinery rated 25-45 HP with a maximum torque of up to 500 Nm.
Technical characteristics
Tubular construction
The tube-type shaft has a rigid, one-piece construction with no telescopic shortening. It provides stable power transmission at a constant distance between the implement and the tractor. The tubular design is lighter than a solid shaft, which makes fitting easier and reduces the load on the drive train.
Universal joints 27 x 74.5 mm
The universal joint dimensions specify the journal diameter (27 mm) and the centre distance (74.5 mm). These parameters must match the dimensions of the tractor and implement output shafts. Compatibility with existing equipment should be verified before purchase.
500 Nm torque

Compatibility check
Before purchase, measure the distance between the tractor PTO stub and the implement input both in the working position and during transport. Check the universal joint dimensions in the technical documentation for the tractor and the implement – they must match 27 x 74.5 mm. Make sure that the tractor power and the implement power requirement both fall within the 25-45 HP range.
Use and maintenance
The PTO drive shaft requires regular maintenance to ensure safe operation. Before each use, check the condition of the safety guards, which must rotate freely around the shaft and must not jam during operation. The universal joints should be greased every 8-10 hours of operation or in line with the implement manufacturer's recommendations.
When fitting the shaft, make sure that the locking pins are correctly secured and that the guard safety chains are attached to both the tractor and the implement. The shaft must not be over-angled – the universal joint operating angle should not exceed 25 degrees during normal use.
Store the shaft in a dry place, away from moisture and corrosive agents. Periodic cleaning to remove dirt is recommended, together with maintenance of the moving parts using lithium grease or products recommended by the manufacturer.
