Screwdriver bits with a 1/4" shank in PZ3 size, made from AISI S2 steel with a corrosion-resistant coating. The set contains 2 bits, 25 mm long, designed for Pozidriv cross-head screws.
Technical features of PZ3 bits
Pozidriv PZ3 profile
The PZ3 designation is the Pozidriv profile size that corresponds to screws with a diameter of 5-7 mm. The Pozidriv profile differs from standard Phillips by an additional cross marking at 45°, which provides better contact with the screw and reduces the risk of cam-out when turning.
AISI S2 steel
AISI S2 chrome-molybdenum-silicon steel is characterised by high hardness (58-60 HRC) and impact resistance. Cold forging increases the strength of the material structure, which translates into a longer bit service life under intensive use.
Corrosion-resistant coating
The protective layer shields the bit against corrosion when working in damp conditions and extends its service life. The coating does not affect the precision of the fit in the screw, preserving the full functionality of the profile.
1/4" hex shank
The 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) hexagonal shank is the standard for power tools and hand tools. It is compatible with most cordless screwdrivers, magnetic bit holders and bit adapters.

Differences between cross-head profiles
Phillips (PH) vs Pozidriv (PZ)
Phillips and Pozidriv profiles look similar but are not interchangeable. Phillips has flanks at a 55° angle and is designed to cam out in a controlled manner at a given torque. Pozidriv has additional ribs at 45° and a flat bottom, which eliminates cam-out and allows a higher tightening torque. Using the wrong bit damages the screw recess and shortens the service life of the tool.
Use and maintenance
The 25 mm length is the standard for short bits intended for use with magnetic bit holders or adapters. Under intensive use, the condition of the working tip should be checked – rounded profile edges indicate wear and the need to replace the bit.
The milled profile with a sandblasted finish accurately reproduces the Pozidriv geometry, which matters when working with closely toleranced screws. Sandblasting removes irregularities left by milling and improves the adhesion of the protective coating.
Safety at work
When using bits with power tools, wear safety goggles and work gloves. Worn or damaged bits can slip out of the screw recess, risking damage to the material or injury. Before starting work, check the condition of the bit and that it matches the screw type.
