Reinforced Technical Hose 19x3 mm – Transparent with Blue Reinforcement

Three-layer technical hose with a 19 mm internal diameter and 3 mm wall thickness, made from reinforced soft PVC. The construction provides resistance to a working pressure of up to 16 bar at 20°C and transparency for visual inspection of the medium flowing through it.

Internal diameter19 mm
Wall thickness3 mm
Working pressure16 bar (20°C)
Coil length25 m

Technical characteristics

3-layer reinforced construction

A soft PVC inner layer, a middle reinforcement layer of blue fibre braid and an outer protective layer. The reinforcement prevents the hose from expanding under pressure and increases resistance to mechanical damage.

Transparent structure

The transparent material allows visual inspection of the medium flowing through it – it makes it possible to detect contamination, air bubbles or changes in liquid colour, which matters when working with chemicals and crop protection products.

Pressure parameters

A working pressure of 16 bar at 20°C falls to 6 bar at 40°C – typical of thermoplastic materials. A bursting pressure of 39 bar means a safety factor of more than double under standard conditions.

Temperature range

Operating range from -10°C to +40°C. At low temperatures the hose remains flexible, although it may harden slightly. At temperatures above 20°C, a reduced working pressure should be used in line with the specification.

Applications

  • Transfer of crop protection products in sprayers and irrigation systems
  • Compressed air installations in workshops and industrial plants
  • Transport of light chemicals in manufacturing processes
  • Irrigation and watering systems in agriculture and horticulture
  • Industrial installations requiring visual inspection of the medium
  • Production lines in food processing (after approval verification)
  • Fluid dosing systems in machinery and equipment
  • Temporary water installations on construction sites

Compatibility with media

Before use with specific chemicals, check the chemical resistance of PVC to the given medium. The material is resistant to many aqueous solutions, mild acids and alkalis, but is not compatible with organic solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons or certain aggressive chemicals.

Use and maintenance

Fitting and connection

The hose requires hose clips or push-fit fittings suitable for a 19 mm internal diameter. When fitting to barbed connectors, warm the end of the hose in hot water (approx. 60°C) to make it easier to slide on. Hose clips should be tightened evenly, without crushing the wall excessively.

Storage

Store the hose in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Prolonged exposure to UV radiation accelerates the ageing of PVC. The storage temperature should be between 0°C and +30°C. Do not store the hose under heavy objects that could cause permanent deformation.

Operation

Regularly check the condition of the hose – in particular the connection points and sections exposed to abrasion. Look out for discolouration, cracks or bulges in the wall. Do not exceed the permissible working pressure for the given operating temperature. After working with chemicals, rinse the hose with clean water.

Pressure note

The working pressure value of 16 bar applies to a temperature of 20°C. At higher temperatures the strength of PVC falls – at 40°C the maximum working pressure is only 6 bar. Never exceed the parameters specified by the manufacturer.
