A set of 5 complete replacement links for chainsaw chains, made from Mn65 steel. Designed for repairing, maintaining and adjusting the length of saw chains with a 3/8" pitch and a 0.05" gauge.
The links are made from Mn65 steel containing 0.65% carbon with manganese additives. This material is characterised by increased surface hardness and wear resistance, which translates into a longer chain service life during intensive work in both hard and soft wood.
The pitch is the distance between three consecutive rivets of the chain divided by two. The 3/8" figure is the most popular standard on 35–60 cm³ saws, offering a balance between cutting performance and smooth operation.
The width of the groove in the guide bar must match the thickness of the chain's drive link. The 1.3 mm figure is the standard for mid-range saws, ensuring stable chain guidance and minimising lateral play during cutting.
The link set fits 9 YATO chain models with identical pitch and gauge specifications. Before purchase, check the chain marking on the packaging or verify the specifications in your saw's documentation.

Before buying replacement links, check two key chain specifications: the pitch (distance between the rivets) and the width of the groove in the guide bar. These are usually stamped on the chain packaging or listed in the saw's manual. You can also measure them with a calliper: the pitch is measured between the centres of three consecutive rivets and divided by 2, while the gauge is the thickness of the drive link.
Replacing links in a chainsaw chain requires a specialist riveting tool. The process involves removing the damaged link by punching out the rivets, fitting the new link and riveting fresh rivets with the correct pressure. Incorrectly riveted rivets can cause the chain to break during use.
After replacing links, fit the chain onto the bar, check that it runs correctly in the groove and adjust the tension as recommended by the saw manufacturer. A chain that is too loose may come off the bar, while one that is too tight causes excessive wear to the drive links and the drive sprocket bearings.
Before the first use after repair, make a test cut in soft wood and check the chain tension again. New links may stretch slightly during the first hours of use, which requires the tension to be adjusted.
After replacing links, lubricate the chain regularly with chainsaw chain oil. The tension should be checked before every use and after 15–20 minutes of intensive work. Sharp cutting teeth and correct tension are essential for safe operation and a long service life of both the chain and the guide bar.
