Fitting and use
Inspection before fitting
Before fitting, check the visor for scratches, cracks or other mechanical damage. A damaged visor does not provide the required level of protection and must not be used. The protective film must be removed from both sides before fitting.
Visor replacement procedure
Removing the old visor begins by turning the clips on the VOREL 74461 or 74462 face shield. Set the clips to the position that allows the visor to be slid off its mounting.
Fitting the new visor is carried out in the following order: first, locate the centre hole over the central clip, then pass the side holes over the remaining clips. Once all the holes are in place, turn the clips to the locking position, which prevents the visor from working loose during use.
Once fitting is complete, check that all mounting points are correctly secured and that the visor has no play at any point.
Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the visor with a soft, damp cloth. For heavier soiling, a soapy water solution may be used, after which the surface should be dried with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, organic solvents or any products that may scratch the polycarbonate.
Regular cleaning extends the service life of the visor and keeps the field of view consistently clear. Even minor scratches can reduce visibility over time and mean the part needs replacing.
