YATO TEZU S3 Safety Boots Size 45 (YT-80847)
S3 category safety boots designed for work involving exposure to impact, penetration and contact with oil. This model is fitted with a steel toe cap, a penetration-resistant midsole and a thermal lining.
Technical features of S3 safety boots
Steel safety toe cap
Impact resistance to 200 J and compression resistance to 15 kN. Protects the toes from injuries caused by heavy objects weighing up to around 20 kg falling from a height of 1 metre.
Steel penetration-resistant midsole
Protects the entire underside of the foot against penetration by sharp objects with a force of up to 1100 N. Essential where there is a risk of contact with nails, metal swarf or sharp edges.
PU/PU sole with SRC certification
The two-layer polyurethane construction provides resistance to oils and fuels. The SRC marking confirms the highest level of slip resistance on ceramic tile with soap solution and on steel plate with glycerine.
Full-grain leather upper with thermal lining
Full-grain leather is characterised by its resistance to abrasion and tearing. The fur lining increases thermal comfort, allowing the boots to be worn at low temperatures without any loss of protective properties.

EN 20345 standard, category S3
Category S3 covers all the requirements of category S2 (water-resistant upper, energy absorption in the heel) and additionally requires a penetration-resistant midsole and a cleated outsole with a tread depth of at least 2.5 mm. Intended for work involving exposure to penetration and contact with oily substances.
Performance features
The antistatic property of the sole prevents the build-up of electrostatic charge, which is important in environments where there is a risk of ignition of flammable vapours. The electrical resistance is in the range of 100 kΩ to 1000 MΩ.
Energy absorption in the heel area reduces the strain on the skeletal and joint system during prolonged standing and walking on hard surfaces. This mechanism absorbs part of the energy of the heel striking the ground.
Reflective elements applied to the upper increase the wearer's visibility in conditions of reduced visibility and when working near moving vehicles.
Caring for safety footwear
Full-grain leather requires regular cleaning of dirt with a damp cloth. Once dry, the application of care products based on natural waxes is recommended. Drying in direct contact with heat sources above 40°C should be avoided, as this can damage the adhesive and cause the materials to distort.
The insoles can be removed and dried separately. Regularly airing the footwear after use extends its service life and prevents the growth of bacteria.
