Sandpaper roll 115 mm wide and 5 metres long with P80 grit. A universal abrasive for working wood, plaster surfaces and painted coatings, by hand or machine.
A grit of 80 means a coarse grain that removes material effectively on the first pass. It is used for initial levelling of surfaces, stripping old coatings and removing unevenness.
The 115 mm width matches standard belt sanders and allows strips of any length to be cut by hand. A 5-metre roll gives you the flexibility to size sheets to the job in hand.
The backing structure and the type of grain allow a range of materials to be worked – from solid wood and plasterboard to surfaces coated with filler, paint or lacquer.
Buying paper on a roll is more cost-effective than buying individual sheets. Cutting your own strips eliminates waste and lets you match the size precisely to the surface being worked.

P80 is a coarse grit intended for initial work. To finish a surface, work through progressively finer grits: P120, P150 and, for a smooth result, P180 or P240. The higher the number, the finer the grain and the smoother the surface after sanding.
Before starting work, cut the roll into segments of the required length using scissors or a knife. For hand sanding, a sanding block is recommended, as it distributes pressure evenly and prevents ridges forming on the surface.
During use, the sandpaper gradually clogs with dust and material residue. Cleaning it regularly with a brush or removing the dust extends the life of the abrasive. Once the paper no longer removes material effectively, replace it with a new segment.
Store any unused roll in a dry place, protected from moisture, which can weaken the paper backing and reduce the adhesion of the abrasive grain.
