A 22 mm combination spanner made from cold-forged chrome vanadium (CRV) steel. The tool meets DIN 3113-A and carries VPA GS certification, confirming compliance with European safety standards for hand tools.
Technical characteristics
Cold-forged CRV steel
Chrome vanadium tool steel formed by die forging increases material density and eliminates internal cracks. The cold forging process produces a better grain structure than hot working, which translates into greater mechanical strength in the spanner.
Vacuum hardening
Hardening in a vacuum furnace eliminates contact with oxygen, preventing decarburisation and overheating of the surface. Quenching in a special hardening oil ensures even cooling and a hardness of 40-46 HRC, protecting against deformation under load.
Controlled tempering
Tempering at a controlled temperature reduces the internal stresses created during hardening. As a result, the spanner retains its working hardness while gaining greater flexibility and resistance to cracking under high torsional loads.
Head geometry
The open end set at 15° and the ring end offset by 15° allow work in confined spaces. This design allows the bolt to be turned every 30° instead of the standard 60°, shortening working time in hard-to-reach places.

DIN 3113-A standard
DIN 3113-A specifies the requirements for double-ended combination spanners: dimensional tolerances of the jaws, offset angles, torsional strength and heat treatment parameters. The letter "A" denotes a version with higher quality parameters than the basic version of the standard.

Anti-corrosion protection

Use and maintenance
Before use, check that the jaw size of the spanner matches the size of the bolt or nut. A mismatch will damage the edges of the fastener and may cause the spanner to slip. When working, pull the spanner towards you rather than pushing it away, which gives better control over the tool.
After use, clean the spanner of any dirt and protect it with a thin layer of tool oil, particularly in damp environments or where it comes into contact with corrosive substances. Storing it in a dry place extends the life of the protective coating.
