YATO YT-4755 Shank-Mounted Wire Brushes - 3-Piece Set
A set of three 6 mm shank-mounted wire brushes designed for removing rust, paint and contaminants, and for preparing metal surfaces. The brushes are made from brass-coated steel and are suitable for use with drills and angle grinders.
Features of the Shank-Mounted Wire Brushes
Three sizes in one set
Brushes with diameters of 20 mm and two of 50 mm allow you to clean both hard-to-reach areas and larger surfaces. The smaller brush is ideal for precision work, while the larger ones are suited to removing contaminants from extensive areas.
Brass-coated crimped steel wire
Crimping the wire increases the effectiveness of mechanical rust and old coating removal without excessively damaging the substrate. The brass-coated finish provides corrosion resistance and extends the service life of the tool.
Universal 6 mm shank
The 6 mm shank diameter is a standard size compatible with drill chucks, cordless drill drivers and die grinders. It allows quick brush changes without the need for additional adapters.
Different speed ratings
The brushes are rated for different speeds: 6000, 7500 and 4500 rpm. This figure defines the maximum safe speed for a given diameter - smaller brushes withstand higher speeds, which affects cleaning efficiency.

Tool compatibility
The 6 mm shank fits standard drill chucks, cordless drill drivers and die grinders. Before use, check the maximum speed of the tool - it must not exceed the value specified for the brush concerned. Operating at excessive speed can damage the brush or cause loss of control of the tool.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, mount the brush in the chuck and check that it is securely fitted. Safety glasses and gloves are recommended during cleaning - small particles of metal and paint may fly off. Wire brushes are most effective when applied at an angle of 15-30 degrees to the surface being cleaned.
Do not apply excessive pressure - the weight of the tool is usually sufficient for effective cleaning. Excessive pressure shortens the life of the brush and may damage the workpiece. After finishing work, clean the brushes of any remaining material with a hand brush or compressed air.
Store the brushes in a dry place, protected from moisture. Despite the brass-coated finish, prolonged contact with water can cause the wire to corrode. Worn brushes whose wire has lost its springiness or become significantly shortened should be replaced.
