A short 8 mm combination spanner made from 40CrV chrome vanadium steel. A hand tool for tightening and loosening threaded fasteners in the workshop, in automotive mechanics and in maintenance work.
The 40CrV material offers increased hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. The chromium content increases corrosion resistance, while the vanadium improves resistance to dynamic loads. The spanner retains its geometric properties even under intensive workshop use.
The 12-point profile engages the nut or bolt head every 30 degrees, which makes work easier in confined spaces. A useful solution when tightening in hard-to-reach places where the tool's range of movement is limited.
The offset ring end allows the spanner to be manoeuvred in situations where a straight tool axis would make access to the fastener difficult. A design typical of professional spanners, increasing versatility of use.
The short version of the 8 mm spanner, 91 mm long, is designed for work in confined spaces. Its dimensions allow the tool to fit where standard spanners are too long. The shorter lever reduces torque, protecting small threaded fasteners from damage.

The 8 mm spanner is intended for bolts and nuts with an M8 metric thread. Before use, check the size of the fastener – the spanner must sit flush against all surfaces of the bolt head or nut with no play. Play can lead to damage to the edges of the fastener and of the tool.
The combination spanner should be matched precisely to the size of the fastener. A fit that is too loose will round off the edges of the bolt or nut. During use, the open end requires full contact with the parallel faces of the fastener.
Chrome vanadium steel requires minimal maintenance. After working in a damp environment or contact with corrosive substances, wiping the tool with a dry cloth is recommended. Prolonged storage in damp conditions can lead to surface corrosion despite the presence of chromium in the alloy.
Do not use extension bars or pipes to increase the spanner's leverage – exceeding the permissible torque can cause permanent deformation or cracking of the tool. For seized fasteners, the use of penetrating oil and torque wrenches is recommended.
