Technical Features of the Soft Jaws
10 mm rubber protective layer
The 10 mm thickness effectively absorbs the clamping force of the vice, eliminating the risk of scratches on painted, chrome-plated and polished surfaces. The grooved rubber increases friction, so workpieces can be held securely with less tightening of the jaws.
Aluminium structural base
The aluminium body combines low weight with sufficient rigidity and does not distort under clamping pressure. The material does not rust, which matters in workshop conditions where moisture and machining fluids are present.
Magnetic mounting system
Built-in neodymium magnets allow the jaws to be fitted without screws or tools. Placing them against the metal vice jaws holds them in position instantly, and removal requires only a light prise. A useful solution when the type of workpiece being clamped changes frequently.

How to check compatibility with your vice

Use and Maintenance
To fit the jaws, simply place them against clean vice jaws – the magnets hold them in position automatically. Before use, it is worth checking that they are secure by gently trying to slide the covers. If they grip poorly, clean the vice jaws of dirt and rust.
The rubber layer may wear over time in the areas used most often. This is a natural process and depends on how intensively the jaws are used and on the hardness of the materials clamped. Checking the condition of the rubber regularly prevents a situation in which a worn layer no longer provides adequate protection.
After work, it is worth removing the jaws and storing them in a place protected from contamination. Rubber can attract swarf and dust, which could then scratch the workpiece. Cleaning the jaws with water and detergent removes any residues of oil and grease.
