Square-profile cutting line designed for petrol and electric strimmers. The 2.7 mm thickness strikes a balance between strength and flexibility, making it suitable both for routine lawn mowing and for cutting denser vegetation and soft shrubs.
Four sharp edges increase the cutting area and the efficiency of trimming vegetation compared with round line. The square profile delivers greater impact force, which results in a cleaner cut and less fraying of stems.
A diameter of 2.7 mm is a universal size used in 1000–1800 W strimmers. This thickness provides sufficient mechanical strength while retaining flexibility, which reduces the load on the motor and extends the life of the cutting head.
The material resists bending, stretching and snapping. Its increased abrasion resistance extends the working time between line changes, particularly when trimming in demanding conditions – on contact with stones, kerbs or tougher vegetation.
The length allows the cutting head to be refilled several times. At standard wear rates it lasts a season of mowing areas of up to 500–800 m². The line can be cut to any length, so it can be adapted to a specific strimmer model.

Before buying, check the recommended line thickness in your strimmer's instruction manual. Most 1000–1800 W machines accept 2.4–3.0 mm line. Using line thicker than recommended may overload the motor, while thinner line tends to snap frequently.
Store the line in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, which can reduce the flexibility of the plastic. Before fitting, it is worth soaking the length of line in water for 24 hours – this increases its flexibility and reduces the risk of it cracking during use.
When trimming, keep the cutting head 3–5 cm above the ground; this limits contact with hard obstacles and extends the life of the line. After finishing work, remove plant debris from the head to prevent it clogging the feed mechanism.
Replace the line when its length from the head falls to 5–7 cm or when mechanical damage is visible. Checking the condition of the line regularly keeps cutting performance optimal and prevents the motor from being overloaded.
