2-inch spiral-reinforced suction hose – 5 metres
A suction hose of spiral construction designed for drawing water from various sources using suction pumps. The wire reinforcement prevents the walls from collapsing during operation under negative pressure.

Spiral construction
Steel wire wound in a spiral maintains the hose's cross-section even under the maximum negative pressure generated by the pump. This prevents the hose from collapsing and the suction performance from dropping.
2-inch (50 mm) diameter
The 50 mm internal diameter delivers a flow rate suitable for petrol water pumps with an output of up to around 1000 l/min. Compatible with the standard 2" hose tails used on petrol pumps.
UV-resistant material
The UV- and weather-resistant material allows the hose to be stored outdoors without mechanical degradation throughout the working season.
5-metre working length
The length allows water to be drawn from sources at a distance from the pump position while keeping the packed dimensions compact. Sufficient for typical farm and garden applications.

How to check compatibility with your pump
Before buying, check the diameter of the pump's suction port – it must be 2 inches (50 mm). Make sure the pump's output does not exceed the capacity of the hose. For higher-output pumps, consider a larger-diameter hose or a shorter suction length.
Use and maintenance
Before first use, inspect the hose for mechanical damage and check that the connections are leak-tight. When assembling, make sure the suction end is fitted with a strainer basket that prevents debris from being drawn in.
After use, drain the hose of water and leave it laid out flat to dry. Avoid bending the hose at sharp angles – this can damage the reinforcing spiral. Store it in a place protected from frost, as frozen water can damage the structure.
Check the condition of the spiral regularly – visible deformation or cracks in the material indicate that the hose needs replacing. Do not use the hose to pump liquids other than water without first checking material compatibility.
