The KD1104 bench vice is a workbench tool designed for clamping workpieces during cutting, sawing, threading and other hand operations. Its steel and cast iron construction, weighing 21 kg, provides stability under intensive use, while the swivel base allows the jaws to be set at any angle without having to reposition the workpiece.
The jaws are made from high-hardness alloy tool steel. This material resists wear and deformation, which means the working geometry is retained for a long time and workpieces are held securely under load.
The base rotates through a full 360°, so the working angle can be matched to the operator's or the tool's position without releasing the locking handle. This is particularly useful when working on long rods, pipes and sections, where the direction of cutting or threading changes frequently.
The vice body incorporates an anvil that allows metal parts to be straightened and shaped without a separate tool. The anvil's working surface is hardened, which prevents it from deforming quickly under hammer blows.
The external surfaces of the vice are factory-coated with a protective finish that limits corrosion in workshop conditions — on contact with cutting fluids, oils and moisture. The protection requires no additional maintenance in standard use.

The vice base has mounting holes set at 140 × 140 mm centres. For permanent and safe fixing, the vice should be bolted to a heavy-duty workbench or a steel bench top. Its own weight of 21 kg means the bench top must withstand dynamic loads — blows struck when using the anvil generate forces many times greater than the weight of the tool.
The lead screw and the jaw slides should be greased periodically with machine grease or machine oil. Regular lubrication extends the service life of the mechanism and prevents the thread from seizing under heavy loads. The jaw faces require no additional maintenance — applying lubricants to the jaws reduces how securely they grip workpieces.
