The YATO YT-7110 tape measure is a 3-metre measuring tool with a steel blade coated in a nylon layer. The model is fitted with a magnetic hook and an ABS case with rubberised inserts for a non-slip grip.

16 mm blade width
The 16 mm wide blade provides greater rigidity when extended over longer distances. The wider design makes the millimetre scale easier to read, reducing the risk of measurement errors when working in varying lighting conditions.
Accuracy class II
Accuracy class II means a permissible measuring error of ±1.5 mm over a 3-metre length. This meets the requirements of most building, carpentry and finishing work, where millimetre-level precision is sufficient.
Nylon coating on the steel blade

Use and maintenance
Checking calibration
The accuracy of the tape measure can be verified by comparing its readings with a reference or another checked measuring instrument. The hook should have approximately 1 mm of play - this compensates for the thickness of the hook itself when taking internal and external measurements.
Keeping the blade clean
The blade should be cleaned periodically of dust and dirt with a dry cloth. Avoid contact with chemical solvents, which may damage the nylon coating. After working in damp conditions, wipe the blade dry before retracting it.
Storing the tool
Store the tape measure in a dry place, protected against falling from height. Operate the retracting mechanism smoothly - rapid retraction of the blade can damage the return spring or the locking catch.
